You get to pick any animal you wish you could be! As the artist, I love hearing your stories, sharing your imagination, and learning a little about how you see yourself. In this way, my illustrations are a collaboration with you.

How do I choose an animal?

Accepted Answer

You might think of a characteristic you love about yourself, then choose an animal who shares a similar characteristic. Or, you might want to choose a favorite animal from your childhood, an animal you've seen in the wild, an astrological or zodiac animal, or something your friends choose for you. You could also think about where you might want to live: on land, in the air, on a mountain, or at sea? If you still can't decide...just ask! I love to talk about animals and personalities.

May I request a portrait of my pet?

Yes! I would be happy to illustrate your pet. For online orders, please include a reference photo.

May I use my portrait for holiday cards or other printed goods?

Accepted Answer

Artwork may not be reproduced in any form without a license or permission from the artist. The artist retains the copyright.
However, I love that people want to share my work with their friends and family! If you're interested in making reproductions of any kind, please send me an email at michelle@youasananimal.com and describe how you would like to use your portrait.
