Michelle Lassaline is an artist and illustrator based in the Pacific Northwest.
Michelle started "You As An Animal" in 2014, and has since performed for the City of Seattle, Artist Trust, 4Culture, the Tacoma Art Museum, the Seattle Mayor's Arts Awards, the Northwest Public Art Conference, Pike Place Market, Fremont Market, Vashon Strawberry Festival, and numerous weddings, celebrations, and parties.
Lassaline has partnered with nonprofits to perform at fundraising events including Vibrant Palette Arts, Seattle Animal Shelter, and Level-It Women's Art Handling Network.

Michelle earned her MFA from the Maine College of Art & Design in 2022. In addition to creating watercolor portraits and masks, Michelle works in video, textiles, found-object sculpture, painting, and illustration. Find out more at www.michellelassaline.com
Michelle also illustrated the book How to Grow a Baby by author Amy J Hammer. This empowering, science-based companion text for pregnancy, birth and early parenthood, was published by Roost Books in 2021.
